This position will be located in: Northern California

Job Description

  • Works closely with Equipment Manager and field Superintendents

Job Tasks

  • Assist Scheduling Mechanic’s:
    • Assign job tasks as required to insure equipment is ready and available to support field operations
    • Assist with securing parts or materials to complete repairs
    • Aid in solving Vendor issues when they arise
    • Work closely with equipment Manager to insure fleet is maintained.
  • Rental Equipment:
    • Insure all of Marina’s equipment is fully utilized prior to renting equipment
    • Order/Terminate rental equipment as requested by approved purchase request
    • Secure termination number when units are called off rent
    • Contact Superintendent to confirm rental order status
    • Update rental report and distribute to management daily
    • Follow up on all rental equipment daily to inquire if rental is still needed on job.
  • Transportation Dispatch:
    • Schedule daily Marina equipment moves from job to job as requested by field Superintendents
    • Insure equipment is delivered to jobs as requested
    • Contact Superintendents with equipment delivery conformation each day
  • Record keeping:
    • Update American Contractor daily to reflect equipment location by equipment number and job number
    • PM Service due/Completion record
    • Equipment status for all equipment being repaired or serviced
    • Monitor vehicle condition as recorded on weekly truck reports and schedule corrective action when required
    • Review and process all invoices for department and forward to Southern California Office for processing
  • Yard/Shop:
    • Ensure proper housekeeping,
    • Ensure the overall safety of the shop, yard, and office area to prevent accidents or injuries
